The Hardware Engineering Group Manager (Analog) role in Penang, Malaysia, leads a team of analog hardware engineers, overseeing people management and technical execution for NI PXI & CRIO chassis and test instruments. Responsibilities include meeting business deliverables, collaborating with other departments, defining hardware strategy, and developing team members.

Ansvarsområden

Lead the team to ensure all business deliverables are met, such as releasing new hardware products.
Involved in researching/defining new product features.
Help support team resolve customer escalations.
Collaborate with other departments (Hardware, Software, Support, Manufacturing) to ensure customer success.
Interact with technical leaders, managers & product managers to define, direct, and execute on the evolution of software and hardware strategy.
Build and strengthen the team through development of future technical leaders, facilitating knowledge sharing and technical mentoring initiatives.
Effectively communicate with all product-line stakeholders including executive leadership.

Krav

B.S. or M.S. in electrical/electronic/communications engineering
5-7 years of experience as a hardware engineer
3-5 years of experience managing a team
Demonstrated understanding of analog circuit development
Developing hardware features based on requirement from product management
Technology research, circuit design, schematics capture, layout review and simulation
Products bring-up, test and debugging
Experience in leading the team to deliver to project specs and deadlines
Clear and effective communication
Strong sense of ownership
Effective in collaborating beyond department boundaries
Experience in people management and relevant operational tasks, such as setting goals, effective in coaching/growing team members, fostering a conducive work environment, conducting job interviews, etc.
