Volvo Construction Equipment is seeking a Graduate Apprentice Trainee in Bangalore for a year-long program focused on sustainable transport solutions. This role involves supporting quality and purchasing teams, learning about supplier quality issues, and implementing industry standards like APQP and PPAP.

Ansvarsområden

  • Learn and support Quality teams in addressing Supplier Quality issues using QC tools including Six Sigma.
  • Learn and lead the implementation of APQP & PPAP policies and procedures for sourced parts.
  • Support Purchasing with supplier development activities to improve Quality, Efficiency, and Cost.
  • Support the Purchasing Department in maintaining supplier compliance with ISO9001/ISO14001.
  • Manage business relationships with suppliers and implement continuous improvement philosophies.
  • Act as a liaison between Supplier, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations for new parts and changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support Volvo CE goals.

Krav

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering.
  • Fresher experience.
  • Knowledge in manufacturing processes (Fabrication, Castings, Forgings, Wiring Harness Assembly, Rubber moulding, Heat treatment, Surface finishing etc.).
  • Knowledge in quality methods and tools (APQP/PPAP, Lean, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement).
  • Knowledge in Project management fundamentals.
  • Good communication (verbal & written English).
  • Good analytical skill and logical way of thinking.
  • Committed to customer satisfaction and Drive Change Management.
  • Self-driven and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Business acumen & Ownership mentality.
  • Capability to work in a multicultural team in a cross-functional global organization.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Support Purchasing Department in maintaining compliance (ISO9001/ISO14001 certification) of suppliers, including participating in audits and other sustainability initiatives.
