As a Global Technical Support Engineer in Bangalore, India, you will provide second-line support for large motors and generators Service Tools globally. Responsibilities include technical support for the LEAP program, resolving hardware/software issues, and assisting with maintenance procedures and condition monitoring tools.

Ansvarsområden

  • Provide second-line support for large motors and generators Service Tools to the Motion Services front-end organization globally.
  • Provide technical support for the life expectancy analysis program (LEAP), focusing on hardware/software issues and resolving field test data quality issues.
  • Support field service engineers with motors and generators related maintenance procedures within ABB preventive maintenance program and other condition monitoring service tools (air gap inspection, vibration analysis).
  • Work closely with internal and external customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Analyze information from databases, identify patterns and trends, and accumulate know-how by writing FAQs for common issues.
  • Provide product management team with a summary of feedback from the field and issues requiring coordination.
  • Display a clear understanding of urgency and care, communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  • Recognize and analyze technical problems, collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver solutions.

Krav

  • Degree in relevant engineering, preferably electrical engineering.
  • 5-8 years of work experience in high voltage diagnostic testing.
  • Independent handling of high voltage testing equipment.
  • Comfortable communicating in English.
  • Ability to work in a global team environment.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Knowledge of the construction of high voltage machines, maintenance procedures and troubleshooting steps is desirable.
  • Knowledge of insulation systems used in high voltage machines is desirable.
