ABB is looking for a Global Customer Application Engineer in Cary, North Carolina to develop applications for critical power and building electrification for the North American market. This role involves understanding customer demands, developing solutions, and supporting product development and commercial execution.

Ansvarsområden

  • Collect demands from US-based end users for new solutions and products.
  • Develop resources within ABB for business plan execution and customer support.
  • Support test and validation of applications.
  • Help customers identify the best solutions for their projects.
  • Ensure adequate customer journey, including application configurators.
  • Utilize a customer-in process to capture customer feedback.
  • Support digital marketing campaigns related to applications.
  • Define ABB and competitive landscape and monitor market trends.
  • Provide feedback to Product Management and Digital on new development needs.
  • Participate in national/international standardization committees.
  • Adhere to ABB's core values of safety and integrity.

Krav

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Technical understanding and willingness to learn.
  • Experience in electrical systems and ability to read/understand/design electrical diagrams.
  • Experience with electrical distribution, critical power systems, protection and switching devices, metering and monitoring devices and systems.
  • Agile mindset and preferable experience in an agile working context.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Negotiation skills, market knowledge, leadership skills, social skills.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Second language is a plus.
  • Knowledge of NEC codes (i.e. NEC700,701,702).
  • Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier design.
  • Knowledge of ANSI/TIA-942-A ratings.
  • Knowledge of ANSI/BICSI 002 levels, or similar electrical distribution design requirements.
  • Design software skills (i.e. Etap, SKM, EasyPower, AutoCAD or similar).
