We are seeking an experienced GCP Data Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms on Google Cloud. This role involves leading architecture decisions, building data pipelines, managing storage solutions, and ensuring data quality and governance. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Architecture with strong GCP and programming skills.

Ansvarsområden

  • Design and implement scalable data architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Build and optimize batch and real-time data pipelines using Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
  • Architect and manage data storage solutions using GCS, BigQuery, Cloud SQL / Firestore.
  • Develop robust data models and data warehousing solutions (OLTP/OLAP).
  • Lead data integration and ETL/ELT frameworks ensuring performance and scalability.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across systems.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to translate requirements into solutions.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and define engineering standards.
  • Stay updated with evolving GCP services, architecture patterns, and best practices.

Krav

  • 10+ years in Data Engineering / Data Architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience in GCP ecosystem.
  • BigQuery (must-have).
  • Dataflow (Apache Beam).
  • Pub/Sub.
  • Cloud Storage.
  • Cloud SQL / Firestore.
  • Expertise in Data Warehousing & Data Modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas).
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT pipeline design.
  • Expertise in Real-time & batch processing frameworks.
  • Programming: Python, SQL (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of Distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of Performance optimization techniques.
  • Ability to design end-to-end data platforms.
  • Experience in defining Data governance frameworks.
  • Experience in defining Metadata & lineage strategies.
  • Experience in defining Security & access control models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication.
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Relevant certifications in Google BigQuery, SQL, Python, Google Dataflow, or CA Erwin Data Modeler would be a plus.
  • GCP Certifications: Professional Data Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Experience with Big Data tools (Hadoop, Spark).
  • Experience with Machine Learning / AI pipelines.
  • Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Exposure to Data orchestration tools (Airflow, Composer).
  • Experience working in enterprise-scale data environments.
  • Knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid architectures.
  • Domain exposure (Healthcare, Retail, Finance, etc.).
