Saab is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator in Jhajjar, India to support safe and efficient warehouse and production operations. Responsibilities include operating electric forklifts, daily equipment inspections, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating with various teams.

Ansvarsområden

  • Operate electric forklifts to move materials throughout the facility.
  • Load, unload, lift, stack, and transport pallets, raw materials, components, finished goods, and other materials.
  • Ensure materials are handled safely and stored correctly, maintaining proper stacking practices.
  • Perform daily pre-use inspections of the forklift and report any defects.
  • Follow approved battery charging and handling procedures.
  • Comply with all workplace safety requirements, including traffic routes, speed limits, PPE regulations, and material-handling standards.
  • Promptly report any equipment defects, battery issues, accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records of forklift inspections and material movements.
  • Work closely with warehouse, production, quality, and logistics teams.
  • Keep forklift and surrounding work areas clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
  • Prepare monthly preventive maintenance and scheduled maintenance reports.
  • Coordinate and support inspections conducted by external agencies or regulatory bodies.

Krav

  • Completed 12th Standard (Higher Secondary Education).
  • Minimum age of 25 years.
  • Valid Indian LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) Driving Licence.
  • Physically fit and medically capable of operating an electric forklift safely and efficiently.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience operating forklifts in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or material-handling environment.
  • Basic understanding of safe material-handling practices and warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements, PPE usage, and forklift operating procedures.
  • Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and identify potential safety or maintenance issues.
  • Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and operational procedures.
  • Willingness to work shifts and support operational requirements when needed.
  • Pass a security vetting based on current regulations.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • India's NSDC lists Forklift Operator/Driver (ASC/Q9707) as an NSQF Level 4 qualification.
