Saab UK is looking for a Flight Test Engineer to manage and support flight operations for unmanned aerial vehicles, bridging engineering and field testing. The role involves test planning, flight execution (ideally as a UAV pilot), and detailed data analysis to ensure system evaluation and safety.

Ansvarsområden

  • Design and author comprehensive flight test plans, risk assessments, and procedures.
  • Oversee preparation, ground testing, and final checks of UAV systems before flight.
  • Lead or support active flight testing, operating as a UAV pilot to gather telemetry and performance data.
  • Download, process, and analyze flight data to evaluate system performance.
  • Generate detailed flight test reports with technical metrics and actionable insights.

Krav

  • Demonstrated experience in uncrewed or crewed flight test operations.
  • Experience in test card generation and telemetry analysis.
  • Practical experience and certification as a UAV pilot.
  • Capability for manual and autonomous flight operations.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex flight data.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Familiarity with Civil and Military Aviation regulatory requirements (CAA, MAA, EASA).
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC level).
