Tetra Pak is seeking a Finishing Operator for a 12-hour overnight shift in Denton, Texas. The role involves operating slitting, doctoring, and palletizing equipment while adhering to safety and quality procedures. The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing experience, basic machine maintenance skills, and strong dependability.
Ansvarsområden
- Operate equipment in the slitting, doctoring, and palletizing areas.
- Follow all safety, quality, and finishing area procedures.
- Maintain high standards of productivity.
- Collaborate with the lead on quality and efficiency decisions.
- Inspect incoming coated stock for damage and proper paperwork.
- Make timely and correct entries in data recording system.
- Prepare splices from roll to roll with a greater than 96% success rate.
- Perform accurate labeling of finished reels.
- Stage and remove reels from the machine, and empty scrap material.
- Prepare material coming off the Slitter for transport, including removal of quality samples.
- Demonstrate safe preparation of splices, loading rolls, and unloading reels.
- Proactively maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform all Quality Control checks without assistance.
- Train less experienced personnel on all functions.
- Participate in teams to support World Class Manufacturing initiatives.
- Operate around heavy equipment safely and reliably.
- Recognize equipment issues and take corrective action, including shutting down and requesting maintenance support.
Krav
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred
- Prior production/manufacturing machine operation experience preferred
- Basic machine maintenance skills
- Quality inspection and machine systems handling
- Intermediate computer skills
- Dependability and reliability
- Basic math skills
- Basic reading comprehension
- Ability to read, understand and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures, and World Class Manufacturing processes.
