Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions seeks a Field Service Technician in Virginia, MN to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain surface mining equipment. This role requires a technical background in mechanical or electrical fields, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently at customer sites.

Ansvarsområden

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical aspects of underground mining equipment and components.
  • Perform new equipment commissioning and training at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Inspect equipment for proper performance and determine faults and malfunctions.
  • Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective parts, components, or systems.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance.
  • Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction within the area of primary responsibility.

Krav

  • Technical certification or diploma in mechanical or electrical fields or equivalent years of professional field/technical experience.
  • Minimum of 3-7 years industry-related experience.
  • Mining equipment experience.
  • Technical experience to include diesel and electrical experience.
  • Success in team environments, with excellent communication skills.
  • Previous success in self-motivated roles.
  • Previous success in customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret equipment schematics.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly, lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and use safety equipment.
  • Must conform to ISO Standards.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Diesel and high voltage electrical experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service based personality.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • Active Listening skills.
  • Success with both internal as well as external customers.
  • Flexibility in the workplace.
