Sandvik Mining is seeking a Field Service Technician in Mokopane, South Africa, to perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on crushing and screening equipment. The role requires an N6 Millwright or Mechanical Fitter qualification with at least 5 years of experience on crushers and related equipment, computer literacy, and a valid driver's licence.

Ansvarsområden

Perform breakdown repairs and fault finding on Sandvik crushing and screening equipment.
Conduct planned maintenance, inspections, and condition assessments.
Perform equipment commissioning and installation support.
Complete technical reports and service documentation.
Provide technical support to customers on site and remotely.
Conduct root cause investigations and recommend corrective actions.
Assist customers with maintenance planning and best practices.
Deliver operator and maintenance training.
Support parts identification and recommendations.
Maintain a high standard of safety and compliance with mine and company requirements.
Read schematic drawings.
Utilize supervisory skills.
Manage time effectively.

Krav

Qualified N6 Millwright, Mechanical Fitter, or equivalent trade qualification.
Valid Clean Driver's licence.
Ability to obtain medical fitness certification for mine sites.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and reporting systems are essential).
Minimum 5 years' experience on cone crushers, jaw crushers, screens, feeders, and related crushing equipment.
Experience working on mine sites and in remote locations.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills.
Customer-focused attitude.
Willingness to travel extensively.
Safety conscious.
Self-motivated and adaptable in challenging environments.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience with Sandvik Mobiles & Static Crushers i.e. CH, CS, CJ, QA, QE, and QJ product ranges would be advantageous.
Experience with PLCs is a distinct advantage.
Ability to train and mentor customer personnel.
