ABB is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Singapore to perform mechanical service, maintenance, inspection, repair, and overhaul of Propulsion Service units. Responsibilities include installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Ansvarsområden

Perform mechanical service, maintenance, inspection, repair and overhaul work on Propulsion Service units.
Carry out installation, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting activities at customer sites, shipyards, dry docks and onboard vessels.
Identify technical issues, support root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure all work is carried out in line with ABB’s safety requirements, quality standards, work instructions and applicable site-specific rules.
Prepare clear service reports, technical findings and documentation.
Maintain professional customer communication and provide practical technical guidance.
Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and field feedback.

Krav

Degree, diploma, or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Maintenance Technology, or a related technical field.
Relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, installation, commissioning, overhaul, or repair of industrial or marine equipment.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, procedures, and engineering documentation accurately.
Strong safety awareness, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and flexibility to work in demanding operational environments.
Effective communication, teamwork, and customer relationship skills.
Proficient in spoken and written English.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience working in marine, shipyard, offshore, power generation, or other heavy industrial environments is preferred.
Additional language capabilities are an asset.
