Field Service Operations Department seeks a Field Service Engineer in Dubai, UAE. This role involves on-site and service center servicing of equipment, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of separators, decanters, and heat exchangers. The position requires an engineering background with 5-8 years of experience, proficiency in PLC controls, and strong communication skills.

Ansvarsområden

  • Undertake servicing of equipment on-site and in the service center according to Alfa Laval standards.
  • Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, audits, fault finding, repairs, and maintenance of products like high-speed separators, decanters, and plate heat exchangers.
  • Act as a service advisor to accelerate service business growth.
  • Troubleshoot Electrical/PLC controls (EPC, 2 touch, basic & Plus controls) and train customer crew.
  • Execute audits and maintenance activities related to Service Agreements.
  • Explore business development opportunities and ensure fulfillment of service visits as per agreements.
  • Document every visit, minute observations, and commitments.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly.
  • Communicate observed problems to managers for actions.
  • Recommend timely purchasing of spares and servicing to customers.
  • Advise customers on service agreements.
  • Train customers and other Field Service Engineers on basic product features.
  • Enhance technical abilities and competencies through service experiences and company resources.
  • Perform troubleshooting, stripping, assessment, cleaning, repair, assembly, and testing of Heat Exchange components.
  • Provide mechanical, electrical troubleshooting, service, stripping, assessment, cleaning, repair, assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning for rotating equipment.
  • Support remote guidance services to customers.
  • Adhere to Quality & Safety (QHSE) Procedures.
  • Effectively use AL system tools (OneService, Lead app, HSE Near miss app, E-Learning portal, Workday, Sensei IB).
  • Generate service business leads using the FSE Lead app.
  • Report Near Misses using the HSE digital platform.
  • Submit Service reports, Expense reports, payroll, and customer signed timesheets on time.
  • Participate in ad-hoc service transformation projects.
  • Support sales functions in technical solutions and participate in technical forums.

Krav

  • Engineering background / Mechanical / Electrical / Automation with hands-on experience.
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in rotating equipment, heat exchangers, decanters, high speed separators and associated equipment.
  • Good knowledge & practical skills in Microsoft office packages and digital reporting.
  • Good communication & negotiation skills.
  • Express verbal and written ideas effectively to all levels of people.
  • Driving license is required.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Process control instrumentation, understanding of software programmes and industrial networking experience and knowledge will be an advantage.
  • It is important that you are flexible, independent, robust and thrive in a very active environment with much travel activity – acting as part of a dynamic team with colleagues around the region.
  • Further, good communication skills in English, spoken and written, are essential, along with an understanding of Microsoft Office products.
