Educational Qualifications
- B. Tech/B.E. or Bachelor of Science in Fire and Safety.
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Fire Safety Engineering, Fire Technology, or Industrial Safety from a recognized institute (e.g., NFSC, IFE, NIFE) is mandatory.
Certifications
- First Aid & CPR Certification required, additional certifications like NEBOSH or IOSH are highly desirable and preferred
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Fire & Safety Officer in comparable account in his/her last assignment. Must have excellent computer skills with good communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. To Be Responsible For Multiple Facility Management Teams With Good Understanding Of Qhse Aspects Of Facility Operations And Assist In The Delivery Of F&B Services As Per Set Standards At The Facility
2. To Conduct Open House Sessions For Grievance Redressal And Support The Team In Managing Functional Crises/Emergencies
3. To Negotiate Contracts With Vendors, Signing Of Sow/Slt/Tats, And Coordinate With Government Authorities (Like Tmc, Pcb, Fire Dept., Besom Etc.).
4. To Support Iso, Isms, & Bcm Audit Planning & Annual Budget Preparation For Facilities.
Skill Requirements
Facility Management: Governance & Supervision Ensuring compliance with the National Building Code (NBC), Factory Acts, and local Fire Services Acts, including obtaining and renewing Fire No Objection Certificates (NOC). Manage and own the fire risk assessment program and ensure robust systems are in place for appropriate fire safety with all assets register items included. Provide leadership and expert technical knowledge to manage compliance with all aspects of fire safety across all assets, ensuring that the services are maintained and improved.
Other Requirements
Keep the concerned teams updated about equipment’s health/warranty/AMC status and ensure compliance on timely basis. Fulfill all Operational Audits and Compliance requirements. Prepare the fire warden list and update it from time to time. Monitor the operation of firefighting system i.e. hydrant system and sprinkler system. Maintain the daily log as per the log sheet and checklist Organize successful fire drills by actively engaging the relevant stake holders. Assist in timely renewal of AMC by coordinating with procurement, vendors, etc. for fire safety works, drafting work specifications and quality standards wherever needed. Prepare and Monitor fire safety reports and statistical information for management. Coordinate with FIRE department for all site visits and inspection of the premises. Follow up with Fire department/vendor during license renewal period. To perform regular fire safety inspections as per necessary codes and regulations and share reports with management. Respond to fire emergencies, Investigate and Report the causes of fire and take appropriate responsive actions as recommended. To ensure the work permits are issued before starting any repair/upgrade job and adhering to all applicable safety protocols. Ensure and monitor proper PPM of all fire safety equipment in the building, such as fire extinguishers and other fire-suppress
