I korthet

As an Experienced Trade Compliance Analyst in Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang, you will manage daily customs operations, oversee import/export shipments, and ensure adherence to trade regulations. You will also support special trade modes, provide expertise on trade elements, and manage interactions with customs authorities.

Ansvarsområden

  • Manage day-to-day LMW Customs operations, including GPB application, exemptions, and license renewals.
  • Facilitate import/export shipments in compliance with trade regulations and coordinate with brokers.
  • Support special trade modes (hand carry, temporary import, ATA Carnet) ensuring compliance.
  • Provide expertise on product valuation, commercial invoices, incoterms, and local customs requirements.
  • Support export compliance and STA processes using screening tools.
  • Manage interactions with local customs/MITI authorities and handle audits.

Krav

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • 5+ years of experience in Customs and Trade Compliance in the electronics industry.
  • Mastery in English and local language.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Vast knowledge in Trade regulations including Customs Act 1967, LMW & SST Act, STA Act.
  • Value-added activity knowledge (repair, service, calibration, subcontracting, IPC, RDC).
  • Working experience with ERP systems like Oracle.
  • Strong communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • Good analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work with partners across time zones.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office skills (Adv Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Exposure to Data Analytics and Reporting tools (Power BI and etc).
