Volvo Group is looking for an Experienced ESW Application Engineer in Bangalore, India, to develop and maintain OBD application software for global powertrain programs using Model-Based Development (MBD) with MATLAB/Simulink. The role involves contributing to software functions for powertrain and Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems (EATS) within an Agile/Scrum team.

Ansvarsområden

Develop and maintain OBD application software for global powertrain programs.
Contribute to Model-Based Development (MBD) of embedded application software using MATLAB/Simulink.
Develop and enhance software functions related to powertrain and Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems (EATS).
Contribute to software development, testing, integration and continuous improvement activities.
Work as an active member of an Agile/Scrum team in a global development environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams across different locations to develop robust software solutions.
Participate actively in technical discussions, sprint planning, problem solving and knowledge sharing.

Krav

3–5 years of professional experience, preferably in automotive embedded software, application engineering, powertrain or a related area.
Good understanding of powertrain systems, with experience or working knowledge of Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems (EATS).
Experience in Model-Based Development (MBD) using MATLAB/Simulink for embedded application software development.
Good understanding or practical exposure to On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) concepts.
Familiarity with software development and integration tools such as Vision, Bitbucket or Jenkins.
A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a strong willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively in a global Agile/Scrum environment.

Hands-on experience in embedded software development for automotive powertrain applications.
Experience with software testing, integration or continuous integration environments.
Experience working in globally distributed engineering teams.
