Tetra Pak is seeking an Environmental Specialist in Denton, TX to ensure compliance with global environmental policies and governmental laws. This role involves implementing procedures to minimize environmental impact related to production, chemicals, and waste, driving reduction initiatives, and leading sustainability projects.

Ansvarsområden

  • Implement procedures and techniques to minimize environmental impact (chemicals, waste, energy, CO2, water) in production facilities.
  • Drive reduction initiatives for landfill waste, energy consumption, water usage, and emissions.
  • Lead Net Zero, CO2 reduction, and sustainability initiatives, including tracking and reporting.
  • Lead the Environment Pillar of the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) program and collaborate with other pillars.
  • Maintain ISO 14001 certification, coordinating audits and managing findings.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (local, state, federal) for chemicals, waste, energy, air emissions, and water.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and represent the company during inspections.
  • Provide emergency response programs for environmental issues/spills.
  • Manage programs for Hazardous Waste (RCRA), Universal Waste, Solid Waste, Wastewater, and Stormwater prevention.
  • Facilitate improvement teams focused on reducing environmental losses and increasing efficiency.
  • Promote a strong environmental culture through engagement, influence, and education.
  • Deliver training and awareness programs on environmental topics.
  • Monitor, analyze, and drive improvements for environmental KAIs and KPIs.

Krav

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with environmental compliance, ISO 14001, waste management, water management, and energy efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 standards.
  • Working knowledge of Net Zero strategies, carbon footprinting, GHG accounting, and CO2 reduction initiatives.
  • Knowledge of RCRA (Hazardous Waste) programs.
  • Solid understanding of applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Proven ability to drive results and deliver measurable environmental improvements.
  • Self-driven, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience training and engaging employees on environmental topics.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • ISO 50001 (Energy Management) knowledge is a plus.

  • Annual Base Salary Range: $72,500.00 USD – $103,400.00 USD
