How you will make an impact

As an Entry IT Developer, you will join the Commercial IT team supporting The Barn. You will help develop and maintain data-driven solutions that enable better insights, decision-making and business outcomes. Working closely with business stakeholders and other developers, you will translate requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions. Your key responsibilities include

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, data models and digital solutions that support business needs.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT processes and contribute to high-quality data engineering practices.
• Support the continuous improvement of existing solutions and development processes.
• Work closely with developers, architects and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions.
• Contribute to the development of modern cloud-based data platforms and applications.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Experience gathering and clarifying business requirements.
• Knowledge of SQL and data modelling concepts.
• Experience with Python and ETL/ELT development.
• An understanding of data engineering best practices and scalable solution design.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.

It is an advantage but not a requirement if you also have any of these

• Databricks experience
• Familiarity with basic data science concepts and LLM know-hows
• Azure cloud experience
• Terraform knowledge
• Knowledge of deployment concepts and containerization
• TypeScript knowledge
• Experience in web application development
