Manage the Medical Gas Solutions (MGS) engineering team to design, develop, and localize products, ensuring compliance with time, cost, and quality requirements. This role requires strong project management, people management experience, and a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles within the medical gas sector.

Ansvarsområden

  • Manage the MGS engineering team for new product design and development, and localization of existing products.
  • Provide guidance to ensure compliance with the Concept to Product (CtP2.0) process.
  • Focus on cost reductions and lead related projects, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Guide the engineering development process, set timeframes, and manage resources and priorities.
  • Represent projects at divisional Product Committee Meetings (PCM).
  • Safeguard design quality and ensure engineering employees follow CtP2.0, design rules, and quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing and Manufacturing departments to provide technical information.
  • Work closely with PNB Engineering and Group product companies on product design.
  • Represent MGS Division interests within Product Company management and the Engineering Department.
  • Supervise outgoing product audits to maintain engineering standards.

Krav

  • University degree or above in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of product design and development experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Must have experience in project management.
  • Must have people management experience, including handling engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge and experience of product legal requirements.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Experience within the Airpower organization is a big asset.
  • Proven experience on MGS products is a strong asset.
  • Good presentation, business communication and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in IT tools (PLM, Office 365, ERP).
  • Excellent command of English language.
  • Experience in design of compressors and New Product Introduction in line with the Atlas Copco group.
