Qualcomm is seeking an Engineer to focus on USB2/3/4 driver development on Linux for the Snapdragon platform. This role involves developing and commercializing USB3/4 technology, supporting compliance, and collaborating with hardware teams to build low-level device drivers. The position requires expertise in C programming, Linux OS internals, and strong analytical problem-solving skills.

Ansvarsområden

  • Develop USB2/3/4 drivers on Linux on the Snapdragon platform.
  • Develop and commercialize USB3/4 technology.
  • Support USB3/4 and TBT3/4 compliance on Windows on Snapdragon platform.
  • Work with external USB compliance labs for certification.
  • Run USB2/3/4 tests on silicon and analyze results.
  • Participate in technical requirements and design discussions.
  • Collaborate with the hardware team for low-level device driver software development.
  • Develop/Test/Debug USB test cases for USB4/3.x.

Krav

  • Masters/Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Computers.
  • 1 to 3 years of Linux Device drivers software development experience.
  • Strong USB protocol knowledge (USB3.0 or USB3.1 or USB4).
  • Experience in using USB3/4 Analyzer (Lecroy) for debugging.
  • Expertise in C programming.
  • Expertise in Linux Operating system internals and Device driver programming.
  • Proficient in Drivers design, System level understanding, and Power management (Sleep, Hibernation).
  • Proficient on USB3/4 and ThunderBolt3/4 Compliances.
  • Understanding of PC hardware, SoC, multi core and BIOS.
  • Pre/Post silicon diagnostics development & validation.
  • Ability to analyze, triage and debug complex system level problems.
  • Ability to lead feature requirements, design, and customer issues support.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Technical management skills would be a plus.
  • 1+ year of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • 1+ year of experience with Database Management Software.
  • 1+ year of experience with API.
  • 1+ year of work experience with Git, Perforce, or Source Code Management System.
  • Applies Software knowledge to assist and support the design, development, creation, modification, and validation of embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs.
  • Analyzes user needs and software requirements.
  • Designs and implements small software features for products and systems.
  • Participates in the design, coding for small features, unit testing, minor debugging fixes, and integration efforts.
  • Assists in performing code reviews and regression tests as well as the triaging of issues.
  • Collaborates with others inside project team to accomplish project objectives.
  • Writes technical documentation for Software projects.
