Emerson is looking for an Engineer - Tactical Purchasing Specialist to manage open PO reports, collaborate with suppliers, and update ERP systems. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain, proficiency with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, and strong analytical skills with tools like Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.

Ansvarsområden

Extracts Open PO Report and converts PR to PO.
Collaborates with suppliers for PO acknowledgement and confirmations.
Updates ERP with confirmation dates and implements exception messages (Expedite, Defer).
Communicates with plant personnel on PO-related queries.
Decides on items for release to replenish stock based on supply/demand.
Liaises with Suppliers for deliveries, maintaining promise dates and order confirmations.
Collaborates with Global Stakeholders on material availability.
Leads Supplier Relationship Management process.
Collaborates with finance for timely supplier payments.
Completes Material Master Set up and associated activities.
Performs Requisition to PO Conversion for MRO Items.
Validates supplier lead times.
Coordinates Material Master Data Audits in the ERP.
Communicates actions and resolutions to Plant/Site Buyers.
Supports preparation of management reports.
Raises supplier delivery issues to PIC Manager and Planning team.
Resolves discrepancies in Parked/blocked invoice reports.
Negotiates with vendors for cost and delivery requirements.

Krav

Minimum 5 to 10 years of professional experience in Purchasing / Procurement / Supply Chain or Casting, Forging, Machining.
Knowledge in Strategic sourcing methodology, supply chain management, contracting, procurement, and supplier management skills.
Experience working with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
Excellent digital literacy and technical proficiency, including significant data gathering, interpretation, and reporting skills for the Supply Chain organization.
Strong problem solving & analytical skills with expertise in data analysis and management (Advanced Excel, Tableau, Power BI, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, PowerPoint, SQL).
Self-motivated.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Management or any related field.
Experience in Project Management and Project Management certification are an added advantage.
Working Hours: 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM.
