Emerson is seeking an Engineer/Senior Engineer – IPM in Chennai, India. This role involves reviewing orders, planning projects, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring compliance with standards and export requirements. The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Chemical Engineering with 4-5 years of experience in a similar industry.

Ansvarsområden

  • Review incoming orders (commercial and technical) and ensure alignment with quotes, reporting abnormalities.
  • Plan and execute project kick-off meetings, clarifying customer requirements for the plant team.
  • Ensure correct specifications and document approvals for order execution.
  • Proactively manage long lead items and coordinate with planning to avoid duplicate procurements.
  • Collaborate with planning and purchase departments to ensure on-time material delivery.
  • Track specification changes and communicate them to internal stakeholders for implementation.
  • Provide periodic project summary and status reports to stakeholders and management.
  • Monitor project progress against delivery schedules, recording discussions and circulating minutes.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions for customer complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with export requirements and Emerson’s International trade compliance.
  • Support quoting, project lead time, pricing special constructions/options, and adherence to EPMCPL standards.
  • Prepare and submit monthly order booked and sales projection reports to management.
  • Conduct project costing and discuss capability development with the Operations team regarding valve models and testing.
  • Participate in slim spec and GP improvement activities, sharing plant capacity and capability information with global partners.
  • Prepare monthly inspection plans and ensure approved documents are available two weeks before NOI submission.
  • Ensure overall project schedule adherence through coordination with internal and external parties.
  • Ensure timely submission of trade compliance documents for Incoterm closure/sales recognition.
  • Dispatch importation documents for destination clearance/customer site, including necessary endorsements.
  • Manage or validate sale order details in Oracle transactions before providing shipment clearance.

Krav

  • Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years of work experience in a similar industry and products.
  • Awareness about EMS & ISO 45001 practices.
  • Experience in ISO 14001:2015 - ISO 45001:2018 - ISO 9001:2015 procedures & instructions.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Project management experience in valve or related products is an added advantage.
  • Deep knowledge of Fisher products and solutions.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to relate well with all levels of staff.
  • Good Presentation skills & persuasive ability.
