Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and deploy RTOS software, specifically QuRT OS and Zephyr, across various Qualcomm chipsets for multiple market segments. This role involves feature development, optimization, and contributions to the Zephyr community, requiring deep understanding of DSP processor architecture.

Ansvarsområden

  • Develop and deploy RTOS software (QuRT OS and Zephyr) to multiple subsystems on Qualcomm chips.
  • Enhance QuRT OS to support high-performance, low-power edge AI, 5G, and audio/sensor use cases.
  • Own the QuRT OS roadmap end-to-end, including requirements analysis, feature design, testing, documentation, integration, deployment, and support.
  • Customize and deploy the Zephyr RTOS to multiple subsystems on Qualcomm SoCs.
  • Contribute to the Zephyr community.
  • Maintain and enhance continuous integration and test systems.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support new QuRT OS features.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Hexagon DSP processor architecture and apply it to RTOS feature implementation.
  • Manage a single codebase that services multiple different subsystems for Zephyr.
  • Independently develop small well-defined blocks and assist in developing complex blocks, features, and/or tests.
  • Identify and resolve architecture and design issues across multiple systems or subsystems.
  • Collaborate during design reviews and with other teams to ensure specifications, performance, and power requirements are met.
  • Investigate issues to prevent future occurrences.
  • Seek knowledge of industry trends, competitor products, and advances in DSP-related engineering fields.
  • Collaborate with team members to generate new ideas.
  • Communicate effectively with peers and leads.
  • Track and document issues, features, and design changes.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.
  • Embedded software development (C, C++, Assembly language – RISC-V, ARM, Hexagon)
  • Multi-Core Computer Architecture
  • Off-target software development and test (Instruction Set Simulation, QEMU)
  • Scripting and Automation (Python)
  • Embedded software debugging (JTAG, Trace32, OpenOCD, Segger J-Link, LLDB)
  • Embedded Software Security and Secure Software development practices
  • Continuous integration and test (Jenkins, Github actions)
  • Source Control Systems (Github, Gerrit, Gitlab)
  • Automotive Software development (ASPICE, ISO-26262, ISO-21434)

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with programming (e.g., C, C++, Python), computer architecture, or embedded systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in design verification methods.
  • 1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
