Sandvik Mining and Construction DRC is seeking an EHS Officer in Lubumbashi to ensure compliance with SHEQ policies, conduct risk assessments, and manage EHS performance. This role requires a Congolese citizen with strong knowledge of DRC legislation and mining regulations, as well as international EHSQ standards.

Ansvarsområden

  • Implement Sandvik and customer SHEQ policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain the site-specific EHS Risk Register.
  • Drive SHEQ performance and ensure KPIs are met.
  • Develop and implement EHS Plans and ensure compliance with customer EHS Files.
  • Conduct EHS training and needs assessments.
  • Ensure workplace and equipment inspections, and site EHS meetings.
  • Maintain documented information for EHS and update leading/lagging indicators.
  • Compile EHS reports and conduct internal audits.
  • Conduct incident investigations and develop improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Maintain all EHS Records.

Krav

  • Congolese citizen
  • Previous experience as an EHS Officer or in a similar EHS role.
  • Strong knowledge of mining regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Solid knowledge of DRC legislation, mining regulations, and EHS-related legal requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of Environment, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ) principles, risk management concepts, and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001).
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Creative, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Committed to continuous professional development.
  • Strong customer-service orientation.
  • Skilled in coaching and mentoring.
