Sandvik is looking for an experienced EHS Engineer in Westminster, SC, to lead safety, sustainability, and operational excellence initiatives. The role involves developing EHS programs, conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a manufacturing environment.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead the development, implementation, and improvement of EHS programs, policies, and management systems.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training and awareness programs to foster a proactive safety culture.
  • Conduct facility inspections, compliance audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Lead investigations of incidents, injuries, and environmental events using root-cause analysis.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities.
  • Administer key safety programs (Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Hazard Communication, LOTO, Contractor Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management).
  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate EHS principles into daily operations.
  • Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Manage regulatory reporting, permits, and communications with regulatory agencies.
  • Support sustainability initiatives (waste reduction, pollution prevention, resource conservation).
  • Lead employee engagement activities (safety committees, awareness campaigns, behavior-based safety).
  • Provide technical guidance during capital projects and equipment installations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, South Carolina environmental regulations, and corporate requirements.
  • Support and maintain integrated management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Serve as a visible champion for Sandvik's safety culture.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or related environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry Standards (29 CFR 1910).
  • Working knowledge of EPA Regulations (40 CFR).
  • Working knowledge of DOT Regulations (49 CFR).
  • Experience leading incident investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and industrial hazard controls.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States. Sandvik cannot provide employment-based visa sponsorship.
  • This role is based on site in Westminster, SC. Remote or international work arrangements are not available.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Professional certifications such as STS, GSP, ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Experience with industrial hygiene monitoring, hazardous materials management, and emergency response programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software systems.
