Qualcomm is seeking a Principal DSP Core Design Engineer to work on high-performance, energy-efficient Hexagon cores. This role involves owning microarchitecture and RTL development, focusing on low power, performance, area, and timing goals. Experience in CPU micro-architecture and related areas is preferred, with RISC-V or ARM architecture experience being a plus.
Ansvarsområden
- Own the microarchitecture and RTL development, including low power refinements, performance exploration, and meeting area and timing goals.
- Drive innovation in instruction set, RTOS, software architecture, microarchitecture, power, thermal, and solving di/dt issues.
- Work on high performance, multithreaded, low power Hexagon cores for mobile SOC, Server, IoT, and Automotive roadmaps.
Krav
- Master's degree in computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years CPU architecture experience.
- 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
- OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
- OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
- Proficiency in communication, collaboration and teamwork skills required.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Experience with CPU micro-architecture, including knowledge of areas such as processor pipelines, out of order design, load store unit, caches, cache coherence, ordering, memory hierarchy, multi-processor, multi-threaded, 64 bit processor systems is preferred.
- Experience is RISC-V or ARM architecture is a plus.
