Autoliv is seeking a Development Engineer to lead the technical assessment, validation, and implementation of design changes for automotive safety systems. This role involves managing engineering design changes, serving as a technical interface with customers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 2-5 years of automotive experience are required.
Ansvarsområden
- Lead the design, development, validation, and release of production seatbelt systems, ensuring compliance with customer and internal requirements.
- Manage engineering design changes, including the release of component drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation through the Autoliv change management process.
- Serve as the primary technical interface with customers, supporting product development, implementation activities, and relationship management.
- Plan, execute, and analyze DV/PV validation testing, documenting results and ensuring product performance, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Program Management, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, and Launch Engineering to support projects from concept through production launch.
Krav
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in product design, product development, or engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and engineering specifications.
- Proven experience in Root Cause Analysis methodologies and problem-solving tools, including 8D corrective action processes.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal), with strong technical communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and customer-facing environments.
