As a Design/Senior Design Engineer for Piston Technology NPD, you will drive new product development from an engineering perspective, focusing on innovation, time to market, and technical competence. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering with 3-7 years of experience, sound knowledge of reciprocating compressors, CAD software like Inventor, and PLM systems like Enovia. The position is hybrid, based in Pune, India.

Ansvarsområden

  • Develop and participate in new product development projects from an engineering perspective.
  • Improve Time to Market and drive the technical competence of GECIA teams.
  • Focus on Product Innovation and technology platforms.
  • Ensure On-time Delivery and a First Time Right approach.
  • Plan project execution within estimated timelines and quality standards.
  • Understand project requirements and work content.
  • Communicate progress and deliverable updates to stakeholders.
  • Monitor deliverables as per SOPs and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure proper coordination with other competencies (CAE, Electrical Design).
  • Ensure designs are reviewed by the designated reviewer.
  • Nurture innovative ideas for product performance, cost, life, reliability, and sustainability.
  • Promote the use of advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Adopt new tools and technologies (AI, Automation) to reduce Time to Market.
  • Create and promote reusable components, product platforms, and modular designs.
  • Suggest CAD automation projects.
  • Adhere to Atlas Copco’s common purpose of “Innovation, Interaction, Commitment”.

Krav

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Production) with minimum 3-7 years of Experience.
  • Sound Knowledge about Reciprocating Compressors.
  • Knowledge of International standards like ASME and CE, API.
  • Knowledge of Sheet metal, Piping design, Flange selection, heavy fabrication.
  • Expertise in Product Development Process (Concept-to-Product).
  • Knowledge of APQP, DFMEA, Design Review Processes is essential.
  • Knowledge of DFM & DFA, Design for serviceability.
  • Experience of working on CAD software like Inventor & PLM system Enovia.
  • Knowledge of BOM generation, working on ERP (BPCS) system.
  • Experience of doing design calculations at component level.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Knowledge of Design of Skid packages for compressor would be an added advantage.
  • Project Management Experience as added advantage.
