Leybold Vacuum, part of Atlas Copco Group, seeks a Design Engineer Co-op to generate proposals for vacuum systems and convert awarded concepts into detailed engineering packages. This role involves sourcing and planning for materials, assembly, and testing to meet delivery commitments.
Ansvarsområden
- Review field inquiries and design vacuum system solutions optimized for application needs, value, and lowest cost of ownership.
- Define engineering concepts, cost estimates, and lead times.
- Convert awarded concepts into complete engineering packages, including drawings, BOMs, and procurement specifications for third-party components.
- Procure third-party materials to achieve best quality, cost, and lead times.
- Place intercompany orders for pumps, blowers, and other Atlas Copco products.
- Coordinate material receipt, assembly, and testing using SAP and internal processes to ensure delivery commitments are met or exceeded.
Krav
- Must be a Junior or Senior Engineering student at an accredited college or university.
- Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills to develop solutions to exceptional problems outside the box.
- Self-motivated, independent, flexible, organized, and methodical.
