Design Engineer needed in Shanghai for full-time, on-site work. Responsibilities include 3D module design for marine applications using Inventor/AutoCAD, ensuring technical specifications, standardization, and efficient manufacturing. Requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 6+ years of experience.

Ansvarsområden

  • Handle module arrangement 3D drawing design to support project execution, quotation, and module workshop manufacturing.
  • Standardize and optimize module design to meet technical specifications, design standards, market needs, and easy installation.
  • Build 3D models of FCM/HSS module products and other new module products using Inventor/AutoCAD for ship new building module applications.
  • Define module piping specifications based on fluid specs. and velocity, and other piping fittings.
  • Provide detailed 3D module drawings to the module workshop for assembly.
  • Manage the drawing database systematically.
  • Communicate and provide feedback to the Central Product center regarding relevant module central standard 3D drawings.
  • Communicate with Project Engineers about preferred module arrangements on a project basis.
  • Communicate with the module workshop about 'as built' module assembly.
  • Provide support for claim handling if related to module design.
  • Develop new product module arrangement drawings.

Krav

  • Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
  • 6+ years of working experience, preferably in the Marine industry.
  • Proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with marine Class regulations.
  • Knowledge of piping, piping fittings, and welding.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

  • Background and insight in Marine products.
  • Knowledge of Alfa Laval products is a plus.
  • Background as a Module or System designer.
  • Experience of module manufacturing is a plus.
  • Problem-solving and target-oriented skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Design experience.
  • Learning ability.
  • Leadership and project management skills.
