Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL) is seeking a skilled Data Centre Operation Technician in Mumbai, India. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking equipment, to support the expansion of AWS Cloud offerings. The position requires hands-on hardware experience, networking knowledge, and the ability to work in a 24x7 shift rotation.

Ansvarsområden

  • Perform maintenance and upkeep of data center infrastructure.
  • Install server racks and perform hardware break-fix on various components.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
  • Serve as the primary contact point for internal customers and external service partners.
  • Meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets and perform first-line hardware troubleshooting.
  • Participate in on-call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities.
  • Contribute to documentation, root cause analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in training less experienced team members (for more experienced technicians).
  • Lift and rack equipment up to 18kg, potentially working in cramped or elevated spaces.

Krav

  • 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience.
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution.
  • Ability to operate efficiently under pressure.
