Ansvarsområden
- Support process definition and policies for emergency and standard requirements.
- Inspect and validate build and service requirements and deliverables.
- Provide input to design and construction phases, and feedback from operations.
- Provide input into and execute user documentation and training material.
- Test new builds or services, including user acceptance testing.
- Approve deviations or changes to rules, processes, and policies.
- Function as the escalation point for all operations-related issues.
- Review Ops metrics and establish procedures for keeping them on track.
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Assist the regular operations team with technical review and support in faulty scenarios.
- Support the rectification of major technical changes by liaising with Design & Field Engineering.
- Support new product implementation by attending game days and providing training.
- Assist in projects for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Own cluster-wide availability goals like MOT, LLT, and LSE drill compliance.
- Represent India in global level forums.
- Plan, review, evaluate, operate, maintain, improve, and manage mission-critical facilities including vendor management.
- Manage day-to-day work and supervision related to rack capacity changes, onsite construction, planned maintenance, and emergency changes.
- Participate in and be responsible for future Capacity, Availability, and other projects of assigned sites.
- Prepare and implement countermeasures for natural disasters and emergency response.
- Respond to high severity events and large scale events as the owner of the operations.
- Troubleshoot, mitigate, and resolve issues, and report to senior leaders.
- Proactively identify SPOF risks or vulnerability in data center designs, test and commissioning programs, construction, and operations processes.
- Plan, coordinate, propose, negotiate, and persuade stakeholders for issue remediation and/or mitigation plans.
- Build scalable mechanisms to collect, review, and report regular metrics and KPI of the team.
- Plan, propose, and drive kaizen based on metrics and KPI results.
- Understand and develop team structure, create headcount requirements, drive interviews, and hire candidates.
- Build strong teams through delegation, development, training, directing, coaching, empowering, and motivating.
Krav
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
- Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
- Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
- 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure experience.
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment.
- Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains.
- Deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure.
