Microsoft is seeking a Datacenter Technician (DCT) Intern to join their Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team in Busan, South Korea. This on-site internship offers hands-on experience in installing, troubleshooting, and decommissioning data center equipment, contributing to services used by billions worldwide.

Ansvarsområden

  • Work onsite at Microsoft datacenters in Busan.
  • Assist with preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning network, storage, and server equipment.
  • Follow guidelines and work closely with experienced technicians to understand data center policies and procedures.
  • Learn to read and assess Process Change Notifications (PCNs).
  • Complete assigned support tickets efficiently and participate in daily safety briefings.
  • Help maintain a positive team environment by sharing information and collaborating.
  • Escalate technical, safety, or security incidents promptly.
  • Complete all required training, including security and EHS.
  • Handle routine physical demands such as lifting, climbing, and working under data center conditions.

Krav

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
  • Interest in supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Studying towards a relevant technical qualification.
  • Must be a South Korean citizen or have residency and be eligible to work in South Korea.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Applicable certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
  • Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights.
  • Effective communication skills with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in written and oral English communication.
  • Desire to learn, grow, and develop new technical skills.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard business hours including weekends and/or holidays.
