Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technologies team is hiring a Data Scientist in Bengaluru, India to optimize and scale supply chain decision algorithms for international markets. This role involves leveraging AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to build and enhance solutions for forecasting, buying, and inventory management, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Ansvarsområden

  • Research, experiment, and analyze predictive and optimization models.
  • Frame business problems into scalable solutions using data science and AI.
  • Adapt existing and invent new techniques for solutions.
  • Gather data required for analysis and model building.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design experiments and evaluate new features or algorithms.
  • Create and track accuracy and performance metrics.
  • Prototype models using R or Python.
  • Create, enhance, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Represent the team and contribute to science forums within Amazon.

Krav

  • 2+ years of data scientist experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience with machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment.
  • Familiarity with transforming prototypes to production is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
  • Experience in an ML or data scientist role with a large technology company.
  • AI Savvy.
  • Self-starter and able to learn on the go.
