Vattenfall is seeking a Data Scientist in Amsterdam to develop and implement data science and AI solutions for their B2C operations, contributing to the energy transition. The role involves using machine learning and Generative AI to solve complex business challenges, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring solutions are reliable and valuable.

Ansvarsområden

Develop data science and AI solutions from idea to implementation using machine learning and Generative AI.
Build and evaluate reliable AI and machine-learning solutions, considering privacy, bias, and human oversight.
Write production-quality, reusable, and testable code using practices like Git, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD.
Work with Data & ML Engineers to ensure solutions are reproducible and support deployment, versioning, and monitoring.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and colleagues to translate complex approaches and results into clear insights.

Krav

Academic degree with a strong quantitative component (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics).
Professional work experience as a Data Scientist or in a comparable role, applying machine learning to real-world problems.
Clear communication in written and spoken English; Dutch is a plus.
Comfortable working in an agile environment.
Production-quality Python coding experience.
Experience applying machine-learning techniques, probability, and statistics to real-world problems.
Experience working with large and complex datasets, including an understanding of distributed computing.
Practical experience with Generative AI (e.g., LLM APIs, prompting, structured outputs) and evaluation of AI workflows.
Experience with DevOps practices (CICD, code reviews, git).

Förmåner

Salary range of €4,862 to €6,077 gross per month (based on 38 hours/week).
8% holiday allowance, 4.5% end-of-year payment, and profit sharing.
