SEB is seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong Java skills for its Financial Crime Prevention team in Solna. The role involves building and maintaining Java-based services and data processing capabilities to detect suspicious behavior and support investigations, working end-to-end in a collaborative environment. Ansvarsområden

  • Build and maintain Java-based services and data processing capabilities for financial crime detection and investigation support.
  • Work end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Build data pipelines (streaming and/or batch) and work with large-scale datasets.
  • Develop backend services using Java (e.g., Java 11+) and frameworks like Spring/Spring Boot.
  • Implement streaming/messaging (e.g., PubSub) and event-driven architectures.
  • Utilize batch processing frameworks (e.g., Beam) and data modeling techniques.
  • Familiarize with CI/CD, automated testing, and observability for production systems.
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and work in cloud environments.
  • Potentially use schema registry and/or graph databases.
  • Apply an analytical mindset to solve complex technical problems.
  • Leverage LLMs in development workflows, professionally or through personal projects.

Krav

  • Experience building data pipelines (streaming and/or batch) and working with large-scale datasets.
  • Solid experience with Java (e.g., Java 11+) and building backend services (Spring/Spring Boot or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with streaming/messaging (e.g., PubSub) and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with batch processing frameworks (e.g., Beam) and data modelling.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and observability for production systems.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and working in cloud environments.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Curiosity and a drive for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and learning from others.
  • Experience using LLMs as part of your development workflow, either professionally or through personal projects.
