Join AWS Infrastructure Services as a Data Centre Linux & HW Engineer in Hyderabad, Telangana. This role involves maintaining high system reliability, troubleshooting complex hardware and network issues, and participating in critical data center operations. Ansvarsområden

  • Prioritize and resolve trouble tickets for systems and network hardware issues.
  • Perform deep dives into Linux server issues and XEN service virtualization.
  • Remediate physical layer outages, including systems, network, and power issues.
  • Participate in data center power and cooling events.
  • Install and configure racks of hosts according to internal SLAs.
  • Triage and resolve trouble tickets for all devices within the region.
  • Act as the data center point of contact for high severity issues.
  • Perform physical replacement of server and network device parts.
  • Ensure correct rotation of parts and spares.
  • Help define metrics to increase customer uptime.
  • Enforce security best practices at ADSIPL.
  • Interact with third-party vendors and contractors.
  • Contribute ideas to improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in and deliver on high-impact projects.
  • Share knowledge and mentor less technical staff on best practices.
  • Contribute to the hiring process by participating in candidate interviews.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of computer networking experience.
  • 2+ years of Linux operating systems experience.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations adhering to health & safety guidelines.
  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating under pressure.
  • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
  • Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
  • Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
