AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a skilled Data Centre Operation Technician to join their expanding operations in India. This role involves maintaining high system reliability, troubleshooting Linux server and network hardware issues, and participating in critical data center operations. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work within a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Ansvarsområden

  • Prioritize and resolve trouble tickets for systems and network hardware problems.
  • Perform deep dives into Linux server issues and XEN service virtualization troubleshooting.
  • Remediate physical layer outages, including systems, network, and power issues on racks.
  • Participate in Data Center power and cooling events.
  • Install and configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs.
  • Replace server and network device parts.
  • Enforce Security Best Practices at ADSIPL.
  • Interact with third-party vendors and contractors.
  • Contribute ideas to improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in and deliver on small to mid-scale projects.
  • Share knowledge and mentor less technical staff on best practices for break fix issues.
  • Contribute to the hiring process through candidate interviews.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of computer networking experience.
  • 2+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
  • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
  • Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
  • Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
