I korthet

As a Microsoft Data Center Technician in Italy, you will perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance on server and network equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to services. This full-time, on-site role requires a high school education or equivalent, experience with hardware diagnostics and upgrades, and a valid driver's license. You will also provide guidance to other technicians and contribute to a positive team environment.

Ansvarsområden

  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, identifying and replacing faulty components with minimal disruption.
  • Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling according to safety protocols and deployment standards.
  • Decommission and upgrade hardware for simple changes and refreshes following standard procedures.
  • Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate Microsoft data center operations management units, Technician Leads, and engineering specialists.
  • Assist and provide guidance to other technicians on challenging or complex tasks.
  • Complete required training and observe experienced technicians for hands-on experience.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing information and participating in team meetings.
  • Take ownership of service quality, completeness, and the resulting user experience, embodying accountability and ownership of data center facilities.
  • Embody Microsoft's culture and values.

Krav

  • Completed High/Secondary School, GED, an apprenticeship/vocational qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
  • Experienced in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of hardware deployments.
  • Experience in decommissioning and upgrading hardware.
  • A valid driver's license is required as travel between sites may be necessary.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Applicable certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
