I korthet

As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT), you will be responsible for staging, setting up, and performing hardware deployments and decommissions. You will also conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics on equipment, adhering to standard operating procedures and contributing to a positive team environment. This role requires on-site presence and offers opportunities for career growth within Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) division.

Ansvarsområden

  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting, identify causes of issues, and replace faulty components.
  • Conduct post-execution quality checks, verifying grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.
  • Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes following standard procedures.
  • Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate management units and specialists.
  • Assist and provide guidance to other technicians on challenging tasks.
  • Complete required training and observe experienced technicians for on-the-job training.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing information and participating in team meetings.
  • Demonstrate pride and accountability for service quality and data center facilities.
  • Embody company culture and values.

Krav

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Must be able to be on-site; own transportation is advised due to limited public transport.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Extensive experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Applicable certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).

Förmåner

  • Typical base pay range of €53,700.00 - €74,700.00 per year across Germany.
