AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Center Technician in Mumbai, India to design, implement, and maintain Linux-based server infrastructures, perform system monitoring, and manage network hardware. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues on advanced hardware, maintaining system reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ansvarsområden

  • Design, implement, and maintain Linux-based server infrastructures with a focus on reliability and scalability.
  • Perform comprehensive system monitoring, diagnostics, and performance optimization.
  • Configure and manage network hardware, including switches, routers, and complex cabling systems.
  • Develop and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless technological integration.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues on advanced hardware, ranging from servers, storage and networking devices on a 24/7 basis.
  • Maintain a high level of system reliability and availability.
  • Participate in projects to enhance operational efficiencies with opportunities to share experiences and knowledge.
  • Share knowledge and help train less technical staff on best practices related to all service owner issues.
  • Contribute towards building a great team by getting involved in the Amazon hiring process/candidate interviews.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • 2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
  • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
  • Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
