AWS seeks a Data Center Operation Technician in Mumbai, India, to maintain and operate data center infrastructure, including server rack installation, hardware break-fix, and network troubleshooting. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting experience, along with 1+ years of networking experience. The position involves 24/7 shift rotation and on-call duties.

Ansvarsområden

  • Maintenance and upkeep of data center infrastructure.
  • Server rack installation, hardware break-fix, and troubleshooting network issues.
  • Responding to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
  • Serving as a contact point for internal customers and external service partners.
  • Meeting SLAs for trouble tickets and providing first-line hardware troubleshooting.
  • Performing on-call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management.
  • Contributing to team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement.
  • Documenting technical issues through root cause analysis and contributing to process improvements.
  • Assisting in training less experienced team members (for more experienced technicians).
  • Working within server and equipment enclosures where space is compact.
  • Covering 24x7 shift rotation.
  • Supporting DC infrastructure equipment (racks, servers, networking devices, etc.).
  • Following ticket-based instructions for systematic problem resolution.
  • Performing routine operations on hardware and spare parts.
  • Maintaining tidiness in operation areas.

Krav

  • 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution.
  • Experience operating efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience working in a colocation data center facility.
  • 1+ years of Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, or Data Center Operations experience.
