Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL) is seeking a skilled Data Centre Operation Technician in Mumbai, Maharashtra to maintain and operate data center infrastructure. Responsibilities include server rack installation, hardware break-fix, network troubleshooting, and responding to operational stability issues. This role requires 2+ years of hardware troubleshooting, 1+ year of networking experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Ansvarsområden

  • Maintenance and upkeep of data center infrastructure.
  • Server rack installation and hardware break-fix on various components.
  • Troubleshooting network issues and responding to emergent situations.
  • Acting as a primary contact point for internal customers and external service partners.
  • Meeting SLAs against assigned trouble tickets and performing first-line hardware troubleshooting.
  • Performing on-call duties and participating in Data Center operations, scheduled maintenance, and change management.
  • Participating in team meetings for metric analysis and goal discussion.
  • Contributing to documentation on technical issues and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assisting in training less experienced team members (for more experienced technicians).
  • Supporting DC infrastructure equipment (racks, servers, networking devices, etc.).
  • Following ticket-based instructions for systematic problem resolution.
  • Performing routine operation activities on hardware or spare parts.
  • Maintaining tidiness in operation areas.
  • Covering 24x7 shift rotation.

Krav

  • 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience.
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • Ability to lift & rack equipment.
  • Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
  • Adherence to health & safety guidelines.
  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution.
  • Operating efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience working in a colocation data center facility.
  • 1+ years of Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, or Data Center Operations experience.
