AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Center Technician in Mumbai, India to join their expanding team. Responsibilities include troubleshooting advanced hardware issues on servers, storage, and networking devices, maintaining high system reliability, and participating in projects to enhance operational efficiencies. This role requires experience in computer networking and a Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science.

Ansvarsområden

Troubleshoot technical issues on advanced hardware, ranging from servers, storage and networking devices on a 24/7 basis.
Maintain a high level of system reliability and availability.
Participate in projects to enhance operational efficiencies with opportunities to share experiences and knowledge with our global network of technical experts.
Share knowledge and help train less technical staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues.
Contribute towards building a great team by getting involved in the Amazon hiring process/candidate interviews.
Installation and configurations on Data center Servers and Network systems.
Installation, troubleshooting and replacement of internal and external hardware parts of Servers and Network devices.
Work within a ticket-based environment and work on systematic problem resolution.
Work on rotational shift-based schedule to maintain high system reliability.
Collaborate with internal teams and share ideas and contribute in innovative projects to improve DC work environment and overall efficiencies.

Krav

1+ years of computer networking experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Önskade kvalifikationer

Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines
Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)
