AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Center Manager in Mumbai, India, to lead high-performing teams and optimize cloud infrastructure operations. This role involves managing and building data centers, improving processes, and ensuring safety and security standards are met.

Ansvarsområden

  • Manage and develop teams of engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise.
  • Maintain existing co-located and in-house Data Centers.
  • Assist in building and bringing new Data Centers online.
  • Continuously improve all processes and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
  • Liaise with internal teams and management groups.
  • Ensure adherence to and exceed local Health & Safety standards.
  • Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of Data Centers to drive positive changes.
  • Implement service methodologies including incident, problem, change, and capacity management.

Krav

  • Proven manager with experience managing teams of high performers.
  • Ability to refine and develop processes to optimize operational excellence.
  • Experience in Data Centers, either building or managing.
  • Exposure to developing great relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • 4+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
  • 3+ years of managing technical teams with significant personnel management experience.
  • Experience dealing with high severity situations, understanding wider implications of issues/outages.
  • Experience in Change Management & Fault Management.
  • Experience dealing with external vendors and managing problems/conflicts with them.
  • Ability to demonstrate improvement of both good and bad processes.
  • Experience in process mapping, implementing remediation steps, and understanding business impact.
  • Health & Safety should be at the forefront of every manager's mind.
  • Ability to positively influence the Safety culture of the Data Center organization.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent STEM field, or 4+ years of network and operating system support experience.
  • 1+ years of Agile methods and processes experience.
  • Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or similar.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts.
  • Experience implementing change management successfully transitioning programs into large-scale operations.
  • Experience managing both high & low performing employees is an advantage.
  • Conflict management skills.
  • Experience in Kaizen/Lean/Six Sigma is preferable.
