Manage global AWS data centers in India, focusing on operational excellence, safety, and cost efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, people management, and experience in data center engineering or operations, including incident and vendor management.

Ansvarsområden

  • Manage and develop engineering teams, providing technical and leadership expertise.
  • Maintain existing co-located and in-house Data Centers.
  • Assist in building and bringing new Data Centers online.
  • Continuously improve all processes and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
  • Liaise with internal teams and management groups.
  • Ensure adherence to and exceed local Health & Safety standards.
  • Create and maintain metrics for Data Centers to drive positive changes.
  • Assist in implementing service methodologies like incident, problem, change, and capacity management.

Krav

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • 4+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
  • 3+ years of managing technical teams with significant personnel management experience and examples of developing engineers and building successful teams.
  • Experience managing teams of at least 5 individuals over a period of at least 3 years.
  • Experience dealing with high severity situations, understanding blast implications and consequences of outages.
  • Experience in Change Management & Fault Management.
  • Experience dealing with external vendors, contractors, and security companies, including problem and conflict management.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve both good and bad working processes, including process mapping and implementing remediation steps.
  • Health & Safety must be at the forefront of the manager's mind and positively influence the Safety culture.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent STEM field, or 4+ years of network and operating system support experience.
  • 1+ years of Agile methods and processes experience.
  • Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or similar.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts.
  • Experience implementing change management successfully transitioning programs into large-scale operations.
  • Experience managing both high & low performing employees.
  • Conflict management skills.
  • Experience in processes mapping, implementing remediation steps and how this affected the overall business.
  • Experience with Kaizen/Lean/Six Sigma is preferable.
