AWS Infrastructure Services is hiring a Data Center Manager in Mumbai, India to lead high-performing teams in the operation and expansion of AWS global infrastructure. This role involves managing engineers, ensuring operational excellence, improving processes, and building strong vendor relationships to maintain and grow data center capacity. The ideal candidate will have proven people management experience, a strong understanding of incident and change management, vendor relations, and a passion for continuous process improvement and technological innovation within the data center environment.

Ansvarsområden

  • Manage and develop teams of engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise.
  • Maintain existing co-located and in-house Data Centers.
  • Assist in building and bringing online new Data Centers.
  • Continuously improve all processes and procedures.
  • Assist and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
  • Liaise with internal teams and management groups.
  • Ensure adherence to and exceeding local Health & Safety standards.
  • Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of data centers to drive positive changes.
  • Assist in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management.

Krav

  • 4+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
  • 3+ years of managing technical teams with significant personnel management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing engineers and building successful teams.
  • Experience dealing with high severity situations, with a clear understanding of wider blast implications and potential consequences.
  • Experience in Change Management & Fault Management.
  • Proven experience dealing with external vendors, contractors, and security companies.
  • Ability to demonstrate an ability of taking both good and bad working processes and improving them.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent STEM field, or 4+ years of network and operating system support experience.
  • 1+ years of Agile methods and processes experience.
  • Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis, or similar.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts.
  • Experience implementing change management successfully transitioning programs into large-scale operations.
  • Experience managing both high & low performing employees.
  • Conflict management skills.
  • Experience in process mapping, implementing remediation steps, and understanding their business impact.
  • Ability to positively influence the Safety culture of the Data Center organization.
