AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Center Manager to lead a team of high performers in India, focusing on operational excellence and the delivery of AWS global infrastructure. This role involves managing teams, maintaining and building data centers, improving processes, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.

Ansvarsområden

  • Manage and develop teams of engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise.
  • Maintain existing co-located and in-house Data Centers.
  • Assist in building and bringing online new Data Centers.
  • Continuously improve all processes and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
  • Liaise with internal teams and management groups.
  • Ensure adherence to and exceed local Health & Safety standards.
  • Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of Data Centers to drive positive changes.
  • Assist in implementing service methodologies including incident, problem, change, and capacity management.

Krav

  • 5+ years of managing technical teams with significant personnel management experience and examples of developing engineers and building successful teams.
  • 7+ years of managing large complex facilities organizations experience.
  • Experience with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • 4+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
  • Proven management experience with experience managing teams of high performers.
  • Ability to refine and develop processes to optimize operational excellence.
  • Ability to drive performance levels to achieve the pace of building and operating Data Centers in India.
  • Previous experience in Data Centers, either building or managing (or both).
  • Exposure to developing great relationships with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Experience dealing with high severity situations, understanding wider blast implications of any issue/outage and potential consequences of differing outcome scenarios.
  • Experience in Change Management & Fault Management.
  • Experience dealing with external vendors and managing problem & conflict resolution.
  • Ability to demonstrate improving both good and bad working processes.
  • Experience in process mapping, implementing remediation steps and their business impact.
  • Health & Safety should be at the forefront of every manager's mind and ability to positively influence safety culture.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent STEM field, or 6+ months of network and operating system support experience.
  • Experience in project/program management.
  • 1+ years of Agile methods and processes experience.
  • Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or similar.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts.
  • Experience implementing change management successfully transitioning programs into large-scale operations.
