AWS Infrastructure Services seeks a Data Center Engineering Operations professional in Mumbai to manage global infrastructure operations, including maintenance, incident response, and cost control. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and experience in critical environments and vendor management.

Ansvarsområden

  • Ownership of all Data Center changes, events, incidents, and problems from beginning to end.
  • Planning and execution of maintenance/repairs for site-critical facility infrastructure.
  • Asset and Inventory management.
  • Development and maintenance of method statements, standard operating procedures, emergency response procedures, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ensuring standardization and consistency with best-in-class operating practices.
  • Developing deep knowledge of Data Center systems, operational alternatives, and contingency plans.
  • Managing engineering aspects related to financial control, regulatory compliance, and staff development.
  • Health & Safety, local statutory requirements, environmental and energy management.
  • Developing and delivering regular engineering reports and ensuring adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
  • Communicating operating philosophies and technical information to internal personnel and vendor teams.
  • Providing hands-on facility support for equipment installation, decommissioning, and replacement.
  • Overseeing technical compliance auditing and corrective action closure.
  • Performing annual operational reviews focusing on compliance with Amazon standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing the development and delivery of Energy/Environmental Management Programs.
  • Reviewing incident reports, documenting trends, and recommending actions to management.
  • Managing information flow during incidents and providing regular updates to management.
  • Coordinating with vendors to resolve incidents during emergency situations, including potential on-site dispatch.

Krav

  • 3+ years of vendor management experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant work in a data center or other critical environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • 3+ years of construction or project management experience.
  • Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License.
  • Operating engineering license such as DC II, DC III, or equivalent.
  • Experience in construction or project management.
