Tetra Pak is establishing a new global organization for customs and import operations and is seeking a Customs Expert in Kunshan, China. This role will drive operational performance, ensure compliance with local and international regulations, manage relationships with brokers, identify cost optimization opportunities, and maintain an updated catalogue of materials for tariff classification.
Ansvarsområden
- Drive operational performance of import, export and transit activities
- Serve as the point of contact for local customs authorities, ensuring compliance and providing support to stakeholders.
- Manage operational interactions with brokers and third parties.
- Identify optimization opportunities for operating costs and customs duty spend.
- Ensure end-to-end daily activities are defined in Customs RACI and comply with rules and regulations.
- Execute continuous improvement for import/export processes and maintain SOPs and working instructions.
- Continuously monitor KPIs with partners to track performance.
- Streamline customs operations processes aligned with local business needs.
- Proactively mitigate business continuity or economic risks related to customs transactions.
- Ensure correct Tariff classification of goods and maintain an updated material catalogue.
- Ensure end-to-end compliance with Chinese Customs and Foreign Trade Policy, including benefits/schemes.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Customs procedure at Great China.
- Experience in SAP environment and accounting of benefits accrued and realized on exports.
Krav
- A Bachelors Degree in International Trade or similar field
- At least 8 years of experience working with Customs
- Experience in Customs Softwares or SAP is mandatory
- Proficiency in the office package, mainly Excel
- Strong stakeholders management skills
- Strong collaboration and conflict management skills
- An innovation mindset and a drive to find solutions and opportunities
- Fluent in English is a must
