I korthet

Our CPU software architecture team is looking for a Staff Engineer to drive software architecture for Qualcomm Custom CPU products. You will work on hardware-software co-design, system optimizations, and firmware development, with opportunities to engage with the latest ARMv9 architecture features across various Qualcomm SoCs.

Ansvarsområden

  • Design, develop, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and utility programs.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to design and customize software for optimal operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement software modules for products and systems.
  • Participate in the design, coding for large features, unit testing, debugging, and integration efforts.
  • Perform code reviews and regression tests, and triage and fix issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to accomplish project objectives.
  • Write technical documentation for Software projects.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
  • 6+ yrs of Experience in Embedded system development.
  • Understanding of ARM CPU architecture fundamentals and ARMv8/v9 ISA.
  • Performance Evaluation and Optimization of the applications for ARM architecture based SoCs.
  • Familiarity of typical Open-Source development tools and frameworks.
  • Experience in software or driver development for operating systems like Linux or RTOS (zephyr RTOS).
  • Good Programming skills using C, C++ or ARM assembly.
  • Strong Analytical and debugging skills.
  • Skills to collaborate with multiple-teams including HW design to define the software architecture.
  • Understanding of RISCV architecture fundamentals is a plus.
